Good Taste Awards for Food Lovers

A clear signpost for taste

Good Taste Awards helps you find food and drink whose taste has received recognition for the product assessed under blind tasting. The mark is a signpost, not a promise that everyone will like the same thing.

You can search awarded products, read the confirmed comment, understand the star and verify that the product shown is the product assessed.

Read the words as well as the stars

  • One Star — Excellent taste. Worth choosing.
  • Two Stars — Outstanding taste. Worth seeking out.
  • Three Stars — Exceptional taste. Worth making a special effort to experience.

The words are part of the result. They express an increasing level of recognition without pretending that unlike products can be placed on one universal taste ladder.

People with a relevant possibility of choosing the product matter most

Before the panel is assembled, the product's intended audience is defined. Consumer-side assessors are screened potential consumers and food enthusiasts who meet the applicable relevance conditions. They remain a strict majority at every stage.

Relevant professionals also contribute. Their sensory experience can make the explanation more precise, but their Overall Liking response has the same weight as every other eligible response. They do not decide on behalf of consumers.

The product arrives without its commercial story

Assessors do not see the brand, producer identity, identity-bearing packaging, price or expected result before their response is locked. The product is anonymously coded and prepared through a defined pathway intended to represent how it is normally experienced.

This does not make human taste objective. It removes avoidable influences and makes the procedure more consistent, independent and reconstructable.

Higher stars face progressively more people

The initial stage contains eight valid responses. Products that remain candidates for higher recognition move to twelve, sixteen and, for the final stage, twenty-four.

The staged method directs more evidence to a higher claim. It also means that an ordinary product does not need to be sampled by the maximum panel merely to receive an initial assessment and comment.

Use the comment to understand the experience

An confirmed product page may describe how the experience unfolded. A comment can tell you that a crisp fracture released clean roasted grain, that a sauce built heat without obscuring its base flavour, or that a drink's aroma promised more than its finish delivered.

The comment is a concise explanation of the defined assessment evidence. It is not a health claim, a producer-written advertisement or a prediction that you will respond in exactly the same way.

Browse by the way products are experienced

The directory uses twenty-four Public Primary Categories. Categories help you discover products and understand their ordinary tasting context. They do not group products into a contest.

You can explore honey, fresh and preserved foods, bakery, confectionery, snacks, staples, dairy-style foods, condiments, non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, proteins, marine foods and complete dishes.

What the mark does not tell you

A Good Taste Awards mark does not certify that a product is:

  • safe for every person;
  • suitable for a particular diet;
  • healthier or more nutritious;
  • sustainable or ethically sourced;
  • good value;
  • available in your location;
  • preferred by the public as a whole.

Use label, allergen, legal, dietary and seller information for those separate decisions.

Verify before relying on a claim

An confirmed result belongs to a specific product. A brand may make several products with different results, and a later recipe or format may not be covered by an earlier assessment.

The verification page lets you check the product, producer, star and current public status. A missing, corrected, suspended or withdrawn record is explained without exposing restricted review material.

Find something worth tasting

Start with a star, a category, a product name or a producer. Follow the product page for the comment and verification details. If you want to understand the process behind the result, the method and published standards are open to read.
