1 Purpose
This document establishes the authoritative entries and maintenance rules for Controlled Terminology Register within the controlled Good Taste Awards standards system.
2 Scope
This document applies to the requirements, decisions, records, controls, and outputs expressly identified under Controlled Terminology Register. Award scope and exclusions are controlled by GTA-STD-100; this document shall not create an additional award dimension. Operational prerequisites identified here affect assessment validity and never constitute product certification.
3 Authority and interpretation
The Standards Authority owns GTA-REG-002; the Standards Authority approves it. Normative verbs, controlled terms, stable requirement identities, policy constants, and generated representations shall be interpreted under GTA-GOV-002, GTA-GOV-005, and the controlled registers.

4 Requirements
GTA-REG-002-R001 — Preferred term
The Standards Authority shall assign one authoritative English expression to each controlled concept.
GTA-REG-002-R002 — Definition
The Standards Authority shall state necessary and sufficient meaning within the Good Taste Awards system.
GTA-REG-002-R003 — Term class
The Standards Authority shall classify governance, method, assessor, sample, decision, data, claim, publication, or operational terms.
GTA-REG-002-R004 — Aliases
The Standards Authority shall identify permitted search aliases without granting them normative authority.
GTA-REG-002-R005 — Prohibited usage
The Standards Authority shall identify expressions that create ambiguity, external authority, or unsupported meaning.

The Standards Authority shall preserve controlled product, role, star, and system names.

Search aliases may improve retrieval but shall not replace the preferred term in normative content. Role names and star names shall preserve registered capitalization.
6 Conformity and records
Conformity with Controlled Terminology Register requires evidence comprising the entry identity, owner, state, reference result, and activation decision. The record for each applicable GTA-REG-002 requirement shall permit reconstruction without relying on an unrecorded explanation.
Evidence created under GTA-REG-002 shall use stable identifiers, immutable event sequence numbers, and machine event timestamps. A correction shall be append-only. A nonconformity shall place the affected object in a non-releasable state until its consequence and authorized disposition are recorded. Role combination remains subject to the mandatory separation rules.
